Movers – What to Bring to the Job

As soon as practicable after a customer books your services for a moving job, call the customer, confirm the exact time for the move, and discuss the move a little, find out if there is anything special you need to know about the move.  Also, it is a good practice to call the customer again the day before the scheduled move, just to reconfirm, and make sure nothing has changed with the day or time of the move.

Bring Furniture Pads, a Dolly or Dollies, Hand Truck, tape, shrink wrap, tools – wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, a hammer, either corded drill with extension cord or a cordless drill with multiple hex bits, Allen key set, black tie down straps with S hooks, socket set, rope/cord, furniture sliders/gliders, etc, anything to facilitate and make moves move along easier.  Don’t forget to collect all your tools and moving equipment after the job is completed.
